Luis "Lucho" Solignac had quite the week. The forward tallied three goals for El Paso Locomotive FC, who padded their lead in the USL's Mountain Division with a pair of wins over San Antonio FC and Real Monarchs SLC. Today, the USL named him Player of the Week.

To put this award into perspective, it is only the third time in their short three year history that a Locomotive FC player has received the weekly award. Midfielder Dylan Mares won it back in week 11 while forward Aaron Gomez received the honor in week 27 of the 2019 season.

Head coach and technical director Mark Lowry spoke at practice today about Solignac's recent goal scoring barrage which led him to winning the USL Player of the Week award.

Locomotive FC has a total of 31 points (9-1-4) in 14 matches and they will be back in action tomorrow night at home against San Antonio FC. It is also Pride Night and kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
