Mark Your Calendars: UTEP Football Unveils 2023 TV Schedule Tailored for Miner Fans

Sayonara, C-USA TV and Stadium broadcasts! Conference USA released its official football TV schedule for the 2023 season on Wednesday and UTEP fans will get a chance to watch all games on national TV or streaming broadcasts.

Yes, one can question the quality of opponents. And yes, there is a Friday night game (LA Tech) and a Wednesday night matchup (NM State).

But the Miner fans have constantly wanted evening kickoffs and, with the exception of Senior Day against Liberty (Nov. 25), the Sun Bowl will have five 7 p.m. MT starts.

Their home slate gets started against Incarnate Word (Sept. 2) after their week zero matchup against Jax. State (Aug. 26). Then, they hit the road against a pair of Power 5 teams in Northwestern (Sept. 9) and Arizona (Sept. 16). UNLV (Sept. 23) is how UTEP will wrap up their non-conference stretch.

Then, UTEP begins their seven-game run against C-USA competition. They get started with a Friday home game against LA Tech (Sept. 29). The 100th matchup of the Battle of I-10 will be on a rare Wednesday night – thanks to the new C-USA TV deal – pinning the Miners against the Aggies (Oct. 18). The good news for UTEP fans, they will only have one home Wednesday night game in October.

Western Kentucky (Nov. 4) and Liberty (Nov. 25) will wrap up their C-USA home schedule. Because UTEP has Sam Houston State, WKU, Middle Tennessee and Liberty as opponents to close out the season, they will need to prioritize winning early in the season in order to try and earn bowl eligibility for the second time in three seasons.

With a schedule like this, fans will have the opportunity to tailgate or get off work in time for kickoff. For those fans that are out of town or can't make the home game, there are a ton of opportunities to watch either on national TV or on streaming channels.
