El Paso Locomotive FC announced today that their 2021 home opener will be May 8th against New Mexico United. The match will kick off at 7:30 p.m.

The two teams met this past Saturday in an exhibition match. The Locomotive won 2-1 behind goals from Leandro Carrijo as well a 17-year old academy player who is on a trial with the club. Locomotive FC will continue their preseason with a pair of friendlies against FC Juarez. Those games are scheduled for tomorrow and also Saturday at Benito Juarez Stadium with an 11 a.m. kickoff. Head coach and technical director Mark Lowry will join 600 ESPN today at 5 p.m. via Zoom and the interview will be available to watch on demand.

The club did not announce seating capacity for the start of the 2021 season. However, priority ticketing will go to Season Ticket Members and also those who sign up to the wait list at eplocomotivefc.com. Season tickets start at $180 and are available online at https://www.eplocomotivefc.com/seasontickets or by calling 915-235-GOAL. Season tickets are also discounted for fans who purchase a 2-year plan instead of one.
