After a terrific stretch in May and June which catapulted El Paso Locomotive FC into second place in the USL Western Division standings, the club has struggled offensively over its last four matches. Head coach Mark Lowry addressed that need today with the addition of Sebastian Velasquez. The Columbian attacking midfielder has MLS experience with Real Salt Lake and New York City FC, and he scored 16 goals over 47 appearances with Real Salt Lake in the 2017-18 seasons.

"Sebastian is a proven winner and a top attacking player," Coach Lowry said in a team release. "His experience in MLS and as one of the most creative players to ever play in the USL will be a huge influence on us in the second half of the season. He is exciting to watch; his energy and ability will get people out of their seats and without a doubt allows us to evolve and take the necessary steps in our progression as a team."

El Paso Locomotive FC returns to action next Wednesday night at home against San Antonio FC. The next Mark Lowry Show will be Tuesday, July 16th with an early start time of 5pm from Brass Monkey, 3233 North Mesa. El Pasoan Omar Salgado will be a guest on the show, which will also include a special Town Hall Meeting with Lowry, Salgado, and General Manager Andrew Forrest at 6pm.
