Game 1 of the NBA Finals between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors lived up to the hype. The game was so good that a winner couldn't be determined in regulation and went into overtime. The Warriors were able to outlast the Cavaliers by beating them 108-100.

Stephen Curry had 26 points and eight assists for the Warriors and scored 4 points in overtime. LeBron James had a finals career high as he scored 44 points 8 rebounds and 6 assists but it wasn't enough to beat the Warriors. The really bad news for the Cavs, is that guard Kyrie Irving limped to the locker after aggravating his bad left knee in overtime. It is known yet if he'll be able to play in Game 2 which is on Sunday.
