Time: 2:37

The El Paso Chihuahuas left seven runners on base in their 3-1 loss to the Fresno Grizzlies Friday night at Chukchansi Park. Fresno scored first on Andrew Susac’s solo home run in the second inning, his 10th home run of the season and second against El Paso’s Jason Lane this year. The Grizzlies added two more runs in the second when a two-out, bases-loaded ground ball went between the legs of El Paso third baseman Jonathan Galvez.

Chihuahuas pitcher Jason Lane launched a high home run to left-center field in the third inning, his second homer of the season. Neither team scored in the fourth through ninth innings. The Chihuahuas string of close games continued Friday; 11 of the last 12 El Paso contests have been decided by one or two runs.

Galvez went 2-for-2 with two walks in the game and is now 5-for-7 with four RBIs in the series. Bobby LaFromboise and Branch Kloess pitched scoreless innings out of the El Paso bullpen in the loss.

The Chihuahuas only run came from starting pitcher Jason Lane when he hit this solo shot in the third inning.
