Last year, Kansas City Royals outfielder Jeff Francoeur treated some Oakland A’s fans to dinner after giving them a $100 bill and an autographed baseball. The only catch? They had to spend the money on bacon dogs and beer.

Well, Francouer remembered the gesture and decided to top himself.

Francouer, again visiting the Coliseum, had 20 personal pizzas delivered to his guys in section 149 during Wednesday night’s series finale between the two teams .

The fans had initiated the reunion by giving Francouer a shirt that read, “Second Annual Bacon Fest sponsored by Jeff Francoeur” on it. A large piece of paper bacon hangs from the railing in his honor, according to reports.

”Baseball is fun. We can take it too serious sometimes,” Francoeur said. ”This is something more than just baseball. That right-field section are here every game, they cheer for every (A’s player). They are diehards. I just enjoy them out there. It’s a lot of fun. You don’t get to build relationships like that every day.”
