Yet another trial is set to begin in 2024 for brutal crimes committed in Idaho and frankly, beyond, by Chad Daybell and Lori Vallow. Sentenced to multiple life sentences just this year, Lori Vallow has already began serving time as a convicted murderer--of her own children--here in Idaho.

Now, set to be put to trial separately, her husband Chad Daybell is beginning trial prep and the entire nation has eyes on this case that completely shook the globe.

Chad Daybell was indicted by a grand jury-- and there are several charges against him. There are several counts of first-degree murder and even conspiracy to commit murder, all of which surround the deaths of JJ and Tylee Vallow, Lori Vallow's children. Also included in this is Daybell's first wife, Tammy, who was killed. There are also charges for insurance fraud tied to Tammy Daybell's life insurance policies.

In a hearing that took place just this week, Judge Boyce who is overseeing the trial, said that he expects the trial to last at least 8-weeks, which will include an extensive search for jurors. Since Daybell is facing the death penalty, the jury selection process will need to be very thorough.

Just like in the case of Lori Vallow--Chad's trial will be in Ada County with a start date of April 1st. The biggest difference here? In the courtroom with Lori was one sketch artist and news reported only live-tweeting text recaps of what was going on. Chad wants a public trial--with cameras in the courtroom.  A final decision on this remains unknown.
