Pop Goes the Fort 2023: Celebrate the 4th with Fireworks, Symphony
If celebrating America's independence with a live orchestra playing patriotic music and a massive fireworks display is how you like to do the 4th, then Pop Goes the Fort on Ft. Bliss is the Fourth of July event you want to attend.
Fort Bliss MWR will mark Independence Day at Biggs Park with a live performance from the El Paso Symphony Orchestra followed by the annual Fireworks Spectacular.
And you don’t have to live on-base or be a DOD ID cardholder to attend. The El Paso community at large will be allowed on base, too.
Community Access Pass Needed
After two years of operating under severe COVID restrictions and limited access, the base has returned to normal operating procedures.
Non-military folks no longer need to be sponsored by a service member. Instead, guests can stop by the Visitors Control Center to request a visitor's pass.

El Paso Symphony Orchestra
Conductor James Welsch will lead the El Paso Symphony Orchestra in a varied program mixing traditional patriotic music, contemporary music, and a pops concert with special guests the USO Show Troupe.
The 1st Armored Division Band Fort Bliss will perform before the orchestra.
Pop Goes the Fort
Gates open at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, July 4. Various food trucks and vendors will be on site, as will numerous inflatables to keep the kids entertained.

What to Know If You Plan to Go
• Allowed: lawn chairs/blankets/coolers
• Not Allowed: Outside alcoholic beverages, glass containers, and pets
