Criminal Mischief

Castillo and KFOX parted ways in May after criminal charges were filed against her.

The former anchor was accused of driving onto an unidentified man's front lawn and steps damaging them in the process. The incident allegedly occurred in June 2021; however, charges were not filed until April, 2023.

According to the complaint affidavit, Castillo went to the man’s home demanding money she claimed her husband, Shawn Bryan, was owed. The plaintiff told police the matter stemmed from a dispute between the man and Erika's husband over an unspecified business dealing.

Castillo turned herself in after her shift on April 27. She was booked and released on criminal mischief charges. A month later, KISS-FM confirmed she was no longer employed by the TV station.

Dueweke comes to El Paso from Fox affiliate KCPQ-TV in Seattle, Washington where she worked as the morning anchor on Good Day Seattle for nine years.

Going from the 14th largest television market to #91 is a good-sized drop, but the evening anchor slot is considered the top of the news food chain, so it likely wasn’t about market size for Dueweke.

She launched her career in broadcasting in 2007 as a reporter in Yuma, Arizona with stops in Flint, Michigan, and Oklahoma City before spending the last 13 years on Seattle TV.

Expect to see her on-air starting August 7.

Man, between her and Holguin, it’s going to be a lot of pretty for the small screen. I don’t know if my eyes will be able to handle so much attractiveness all at once.
