Graffiti can be a beautiful thing. Here in El Paso, Texas we have a whole event around creating beautiful works of art that would be labeled as graffiti. The Borderland Jam welcomes tons of artists around the area to join together to create large graffiti art since 2015. The perception of this type of art has changed over the year, but sometimes, graffiti is just wrong.

The outside wall of Fabens' Our Lady of Guadalupe Church was recently tagged with graffiti. Photos of the graffiti were shared on social media and sadness just flooded the hearts of residents. Growing up in Fabens, you basically grow up in that church, if you are raised catholic. So many lovely people have been baptized, married, and laid to rest at this church.

Thanks to the wonderful team at FTX Mechanic & Body Shop in Fabens, Texas this graffiti has been turned into a beautiful work of art. As you can see,

FTX Mechanic Body Shop credits Oscar Reyes for creating the beautiful graffiti cover-up. You can see the process, in the Facebook post below. In small towns, this type of love within the community is beautiful. Everyone has tons of things to do throughout the day, but those, who can donate their time and talents are very special people. We need more of those people to help catch the eyes of those who are up to no good in our community. Whoever did the graffiti, I hope they find happiness in other forms of art.
