It was a big day for El Paso news anchor Sam Harasimowicz.

The KVIA weekend anchor thought it was the end of the 5 p.m. newscast when, all of a sudden, he received one of the biggest surprises of his life.

Good Morning America Chief Meteorologist Ginger Zee recorded a special message for Sam, who was recently promoted from weekend morning anchor to weekend primetime anchor.

"I didn't want today to go by without congratulating you on your new position," Zee said in the post. "Listen, Sam, this is just the beginning. This is an exciting time."

Sam's reaction was up on the screen in real time and it was priceless.

He was SHOCKED.

This all came together when his co-worker (and my nephew!) Michael Courier reached out through Cameo to get the message for Sam, who is a diehard fan of Ginger Zee.

"Every single step is a big one. And, celebrate it and get back to work."

She even blows him a kiss in the video. That's when Sam pretty much lost it.

Zee closes the video by saying, "Hey, if I'm ever in El Paso, I'll have to stop through."

When it comes back out to the KVIA crew after the video, Sam says he's broken a sweat: "I don't think I've ever been this red in my whole life."

But if that wasn't enough, it got even better for Sam. He changed his Twitter banner to a screenshot of her video, tweeted at her, and then got a response:

And the cherry on top - he got a follow from Ginger Zee.

Way to go, Sam! Check out the full clip below.
