A lot of people, a little over half, name their vehicles. We have sex in them too, about 3 times on average if you care about that kind of stuff.

I've pretty much always named my motorcycles and most of my trucks have had names. I named my car too but, honestly, I've only owned one car ... I'm a truck guy.

His, the car's, name was Ian. His fan belt had a high pitched squeal when I first got him, (it wasn't installed right, I fixed it), so I named him after Deep Purple vocalist Ian Gillan.

Cue in to about 7:40 of the video for Child In Time ... you'll get it. My last truck was a Ford F-150 named Lita. Lita Ford. 'Ya see what I did there?

I got a better one, my brother had a cool, old school Lincoln ... named Abe. Bad jokes and puns run in the family.

The truck I have now is "Tonk" because my fiance said that it reminded her of a Tonka truck.

Every name I came up with for my bike had a strike against it. An actress I didn't like had the same name, it was an ex'es name, a friends wife's name, too long, someone's dogs name, etc, etc.

I finally came up with Holly. It was short, fit her look and didn't cross any of those other lines. Best of all ... (are you ready?) ... she's ... (here it comes) ... she's a "Holly" Davidson! HAAAAAAA!

Yeah ... I went there.
