Speaking Rock has seen a lot of improvements throughout its history in El Paso's lower valley,. Now they're taking their parking game up a notch.

The Ysleta Del Sur Pueblo goes back centuries, Speaking Rock Casino is a lot younger, opening in 1993.  The state of Texas shut it down a few years later in 2003 but they reopened in 2016 as the Speaking Rock Entertainment Center and the battle began anew.

Despite the seemingly endless barrage of legal challenges by Texas, Speaking Rock steadily stepped things up at almost every level. Now, the parking gets an upgrade.

What's New With Speaking Rocks Parking?

To better accommodate folks attending events at Speaking Rock, having diner at the new 1682 Steakhouse or those just having a beer and hanging out; Speaking Rock now has a new lot.

Those extra 150 parking spaces are going to come in super handy as Speaking Rock is gearing up for a pretty busy year as far as live events go and also plan on a lot of extra traffic in and out of their new steakhouse.

When Did Speaking Rock Legal Issues End?

Finally, after twenty - something years, Texas said "uncle" in 2022. Along with the new 1682 Steakhouse, poker is back at Speaking Rock Entertainment Center and the free concerts and sporting events will continue.

Over the past couple of decades, Speaking Rock as hosted many boxing and MMA type events, Pow-Wows, held huge Dallas Cowboys watch parties and brought tons of bands in to perform for FREE.

What Rock Bands Played Speaking Rock?

It all started with Korn in October of 2010. (It was the Saturday before Halloween so many peeps came in costume, it was awesome.) Since then, we've "rocked the Rock" with In This Moment, Disturbed, The Funeral Portrait, Papa Roach, Hollywood Undead, Escape The Fate, (drummer Robert Ortiz actually grew up on the reservation), Danko Jones, Godsmack, Volbeat, Pop Evil, Hellyeah and a ton more.
