Things really are bigger in Texas ... even our treehouses are monsters.

A family in Leakey, Texas decided they wanted a treehouse ... emphasis on the word "house" because, this sucker is huge.

Leakey, Texas is a small town located in the Texas Hill Country with a population of less than 500. Most of whom could probably fit in the treehouse and the owners main house.

Situated on the Frio river, the treehouse was built by Nelson Treehouse and Supply, a company known for incredible, custom treehouses that have been featured on Animal Planet.

Built on the bank of the Frio River in Leakey, Texas, this beauty boasts the longest bridge Nelson Treehouse has ever included in a treehouseOne hundred and fifty feet of steel and wood winds between the bluff (where Ann and Marc’s house is located) to the front door of the treehouse, providing convenient and safe passage over the rocky bank. - nelsontreehouse.com

Take a peek inside this treehouse mansion in the following pictures and learn more about how they built it in the video above.

As big as the Leakey treehouse is, it's not the biggest one that Nelson Treehouse and Supply has ever built. That honor goes to this guy ...

It would be so cool to have one of these but, here in El Paso, I don't think it could really be done. We don't have enough trees around here.

10 Cities Where Homes Are Selling Faster Than Last Year

Realtor compared those figures with those a year earlier. We selected only the metro with the largest decline in each state to provide geographical diversity. (Metros include the main city and surrounding towns, suburbs, and smaller urban areas.)
