On Sunday, October 29th, the Alley Theatre in Middleboro will welcome Andrea Perron, celebrity author, speaker, and former resident of the notorious Conjuring House in Rhode Island.

Thanks to the wildly successful The Conjuring films, the Perron family’s haunting experience of living in the Harrisville home garnered a cult-like following, and on the 29th, fans of the incredibly true story will have a chance to listen to Perron’s point of view.

She has waited more than 30 years to tell her family’s story, and she’s ready to share what really happened all those years ago.

Who Is Andrea Perron?

In the 1970s, Carolyn and Roger Perron, along with their five daughters, moved to 1677 Round Top Road in the village of Harrisville, and for the next decade, the family endured intense paranormal activity.

Andrea Perron is the oldest of her five sisters, and recalled the seller only left the family with one warning as he handed off the keys: “Leave the lights on at night.”

The Conjuring films were based on real-life accounts of the Perron family, but the eldest sister felt compelled to share her thoughts in not one book, but three.

Her experience in that haunted home ultimately shaped the rest of her life.

“I think it was as if a bell went off in my head,” said Perron to Fun 107. “I began in 2007 writing the manuscript that was supposed to be for one book, and it turned into three because it needed to be. It required 1500 pages to tell the many details of the most significant events.”

While Perron feels The Conjuring films did a respectable job of sharing her family’s story, she also needed to let her voice be heard.

“In this world in which we live, it’s always important to tell the truth,” she said.

What to Expect at "Andrea Perron in Conversation"

Guests will enjoy 90 minutes with Perron as she shares what life was like growing up in the Conjuring House.

“When (guests) leave, they will think about everything differently,” she said. “Life, earth, the afterlife…everything.”

Reservations must be made in advance by emailing burtwhooschool@aol.com., and the event is $25 per person. Proceeds of the event will benefit The Burt Wood School of Performing Arts.
