
Route 66 Dominates Top 10 List In This New Study
We in the Texas panhandle already know how awesome Route 66 is. We're home to some of the most iconic roadside attractions along the Mother Road. We even have a festival nominated to be one of the best new festivals in the nation. Now, we get to enjoy yet one more major honor.

Route 66 Named The Top U.S. Road Trip
As if we needed anyone to tell us that Route 66 is the best road trip in the U.S. This is all according to a recent study done by the fine folks over at Shane Co. They came to this conclusion by analyzing videos on TikTok.
It seems TikTok loves Route 66.

Second, on the list is Going-To-The-Sun Road. It garnered 36.4 million views on TikTok. That's a pretty big number and, honestly, it's impressive. That is until you see the numbers that Route 66 put up.
Our beloved Route 66 brought down 468.7 million views. That's insane.
We know that Route 66 is a massive piece of American culture and history. It's no secret that people come from all over the world to travel along the Mother Road. If you've ever been to Cadillac Ranch, you know that it is a melting pot of tourists from all over the planet.
Why Route 66 Continues To Be The Top Road Trip In The Nation
Just as it has for several generations, Route 66 continues to be a top road trip for travelers. I've seen old photos of family members making the trek. I meet people constantly who are reliving the Route's glory days.
There is a massive list of odd and wonderful roadside attractions. There's an insane number of museums along the Route that not only show the history of the Mother Road but also show the unique history it has in each region.
It makes me look forward to the Route 66 festival in 2024 even more. We've got a lot to celebrate.
