I'm not sure there's a pumpkin spice latte 'season' anymore, since just about everything seems to have a flavorful version of the original beverage. Lovers of the popular flavor can rejoice in the availability, and there are those of us who simple shake our head because we're not ready for Fall.

It's not enough to create products like pumpkin spice lip balms or cookies. That's amateur hour for inventiveness. We had to find the stuff that's just plain weird - things you never thought needed to be (or should be) scented or flavored in the now iconic seasonal taste. BTW, I'm no pumpkin spice hater - I've had coffee creamer in the flavor and liked it quite a bit.

PUMPKIN SPICE SCENTED CAT LITTER: I can't think of a quicker way to start disliking the scent of pumpkin spice than keeping a box of it in your house that your cat then poops all over. At first, it didn't seem that this was even a legit product but shockingly - it's 100% real and can be ordered online. 100% gross. (And I bet any self respecting cat would avoid that stuff like the plague.)

PUMPKIN SPICE BEEF JERKY:  None of us had actually tried pumpkin spice beef jerky so there's a possibility that it's delicious. But I doubt it. My pallet cannot wrap it's head around putting those flavors together. There are several companies that make and sell it, however. Tony's Jerky is one of those companies (link above), and you'll also find tons of other weird flavors such as Dill Pickle. To each their own.

PUMPKIN SPICE POO-POURRI: If you've never used this bathroom odor controlling product in general, you should. It totally works. Ask anyone who has spent time in tight quarters sharing a small bathroom abroad. Travelers know. Anyway, it seems to me that combining someone's "favorite seasonal scent" and the scents one might produce in a bathroom would be a quick way to ruin their favorite scent, right?

PUMPKIN PIE SPICE PRINGLES: This is an oldie, but so weird it's worth mentioning. In 2012, the makers of Pringles did actually concoct a "Pumpkin Pie Spice" chip as a special edition. You'd be hard-pressed to find a can these days but it did exist. It begs the question, why on earth take one of America's favorite savory snacks and try to create a cringe worthy 'dessert' version?
