Summer may still seem a ways away but it's not too early to start thinking about warmer, longer days, shorter nights, wearing shirtsleeves and taking in our National Pastime -- baseball!

If all of that sounds good to you, why not make a buck while you're at it!

The Yakima Valley Pippins Baseball Club of the collegiate West Coast League is preparing for the 2021 season and have officially announced via the Facebook page and website that they are now hiring for myriad part-time jobs over the course of 30-plus nights from June through August.

Their posting reads, "Looking for a part-time, summer job? The Pippins are accepting applications for a limited number of positions for hard-working folks aged 16 and older! Apply here to start the process: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PippinsJobs"

Positions that need to be filled include everything from ushers, ticket takers, concessionaires, servers and even wearing the mascot costume!

If you are looking for other sources of employment, we try to scour websites up and down the Yakima Valley to find opportunities that might interest you!

Don't forget, the Pippins are also looking for volunteers to be host families for this upcoming season's players. It does come with a number of perks besides the overall rewarding experience of helping out a youngster that is displaced from their home and family for the summer.
