DAVIE, Fla. (AP) — Free agent cornerback Zack Bowman is visiting the Miami Dolphins, who have a starting spot open opposite Pro Bowl cornerback Brent Grimes.

Bowman is a seven-year veteran who started seven games for the Bears in 2013 and five games for the Giants last year. A fifth-round pick by the Bears in 2008, he has 28 career starts and 12 interceptions.

Many projections have the Dolphins taking a cornerback in the first round of the draft April 30. They need to replace starter Cortland Finnegan, who retired.
