Five Places To Grab A Beer Downtown Before A Chihuahuas Game
As we get closer to Opening Day for the El Paso Chihuahuas on April 28th, I askedmyself, where would be the best place to go grab a beer and hang out downtown before a game? You can add "drinks" to the places, too, if you want. I would never discriminate against an adult beverage.

Soho Cocktail Lounge
500 N. Oregon St.Being only a block from the ballpark, Soho is a solid spot. It also has a laid back atmosphere and the beer is cold, which is nice. Get here early because it is going to be hopping.

Sparrow's Spirits and Pies
201 S El Paso StOnly two blocks from the park, Sparrow's has Chicago style pizza and cold beer. A word to the wise, if you want a pizza call ahead and place your order. Maybe they will sell by the slice?

The Tap Bar & Restaurant
408 E. San Antonio St.I love this place. It is small so you better get there early, which is never bad, but the food is good and only a couple blocks away from the ballpark.

The Dome Bar
101 S El Paso StLocated in the Camino Real, it's fancy and a great place to cap off a night at the ballpark with your significant other. The ample room means you're not likely to be squished against other people.

501 Bar & Bistro
501 Texas AveOne of my favorite spots downtown. The staff is super friendly, the space is great and the beer is really cold. This is a place that you can have a group meet at and walk over without a problem. Four blocks from the ballpark and worth the walk.
