FC Juarez Wins and Qualifies for Copa MX
Bravos de FC Juarez defeated Cafetaleros de Tapachula by the score of 3-1 Saturday evening at Benito Juarez Olympic Stadium in the final match of the 2019 Clausura season.
This final win of the season qualifies the Bravos for next season’s Copa MX. That of course is of little consolation from the team from the Borderland who had a terrible season in league play and did not qualify for the playoffs. Their final record was that of 4 wins, 3 draws and 7 loses, good for only 15 points on the season, 3 points short of the playoff zone.
The short off season will be interesting for the team from the Borderland. There are rumors that their head coach Gabriel Caballero is looking for coaching position in Mexico’s first division so it will be interesting he remains with the club. And of course there will be the decisions that the front office takes regarding who stays and who goes as far as players go.
The 2019 Apertura season will begin mid-July.
