On Saturday afternoon FC Juarez picked up their second win in a row, defeating Leon by the score of 1-0 in the state of Guanajuato. The win was the Bravos first road win of the season, their second win in a row and a win that pulled them out of the last places in the general standings table.

The Bravos are now in 14th place in the standings table, with eight points as a result of two wins, two draws and five losses. They are tied with Puebla in the amount of points but Puebla is one spot ahead of Bravos in the standings due to goal differential. Both of these teams are one point out of the playoff zone.

The team that currently occupies the last place in the playoff zone is Necaxa with nine points.

The victory on Saturday for Bravos was well deserved as they were the better team over the course of 90 minutes. FC Juarez were proactive in trying not just to get a draw and the one point that comes with it on the road. It was very evident from the opening whistle that the team from the Borderland was out to get the win to obtain three points on the road.

That kind of effort would pay dividends when in the 70th minute when Jeffferson Intriago scored the match winning goal off of a direct kick. Intriago who is affectionately known as "Palula" would freeze Leon goalkeeper Rodolfo Cota with his right footed strike that would find the back of the net. All Cota could do was watch the ball go by.

The Bravos would close the match out in the final 20 minutes with order and discipline in their defensive line.

What’s next

Tonight the Bravos will host Atletico San Luis at Benito Juarez Olympic Stadium. San Luis is one of the early season surprises. They are currently in 6th place in the standings table with 13 points as result of three wins, four draws and only one loss.

San Luis is coming off of a 4-1 home victory against the worst team in the league, Tijuana.

That match took place last Thursday so San Luis has had plenty of rest and time to prepare for this match.

Tonight’s match is scheduled to kickoff at 8pm MT and will be televised nationally on TUDN DirecTV ch. 464/Spectrum ch. 444.

SPOOKY GOOD: 2019 KLAQ Halloween Parade

For 2019, KLAQ's Halloween parade brought out Tony the Tiger to be the Grand Marshal. As for the Buzz Adams Morning Show, they dressed up and drove around as The Wizard of Oz but zombie style. Thank you to everyone who came out to the parade and make it a spooky good time.
