On Monday, FC Juarez officially opened their preseason training for the upcoming the 2020 Apertura season of the Liga MX that is schedule to kickoff on July 24th. After yesterday’s training session, the club’s media relation released the details regarding how team is executing its training sessions in compliance with safety protocol established by Liga MX in the current COVID era.

The Bravos training session is made up of three different groups consisting of 6 players each maintaining social distancing at all times. Each group’s training session lasted one hour that were strength training and physical conditioning were the main focus.

After his group’s training session, Flavio Santos commented on returning to work, the forward commented, “After 3 months we set foot back on the pitch and it is time to once again adapt and regain our training form. The truth is we are happy to be back, to be able to interact with fellow teammates. While it is different and there is notable changes in how we are training, the important thing here is to quickly adapt.”

Bravos Announce Player Cuts:
On Tuesday afternoon via the club’s social media accounts the Bravos announced players that had been released and will not be coming back for the 2020 Apertura season. Those players include the following:
Defenders: Eder Borelli, Jonathan Lecerda, Manuel Viniegra and Israel Jimenez
Attacking midfielder: Edy Brambila

Both Brambila and Borelli, released heartfelt, appreciative and thankful statements announcing their departure on their social media accounts. Eder Borelli has been with the team from the Borderland since it was established in 2005.
There are also very strong rumors that another of the Bravos original team members Leandro Carrijo will not return for the upcoming season. Carrijo is the leading goal scorer in club history and a fan favorite.
