Chester Bennington is without a doubt one of the most iconic singers in rock that has ever lived. His work with Linkin Park, Grey Daze & countless appearances will always live on. El Paso certainly has a special love for Linkin Park; one that's been present since 2003, when they gave a sold out crowd an amazing show.

When did Linkin Park play in El Paso?

Shortly after the release of Meteora, it was during The Projekt Revolution Tour that El Paso was a stop for Linkin Park: The Don Haskins Center; April 15, 2003. Nearly 20 years ago exactly. Sadly there's not a lot of footage of the concert online apart from a very short 2 minute video of Lying From You taken directly FROM that show.

Were there photos from the Don Haskins show?

Thankfully yes. The Facebook group, Site Linkin Park, is dedicated to archiving audio, photos & videos of past Linkin Park performances. Uploaded on the page is a very detailed retelling of the entire setlist; all the songs in order, and even included the fact that there were more acts AT the show: Mudvayne, Blindside & Xzibit (you can even see the archived El Paso Times article from 2003 here).

But most importantly, there were photos included. Even photos of the bands signing autographs in front of the UTEP sign inside.

Would Linkin Park play El Paso again?

Sadly no. Linkin Park WAS scheduled to play 4 years later in 2007, but that show never happened. Linkin Park WOULD film & record an entire live album in Texas called Live In Texas. (One of the many bands to record a live album in Texas)

Nevertheless, the love for Linkin Park did NOT stop. Fans still show & express their love for Linkin Park in El Paso. In fact so many people commented their favorite Linkin Park song when we asked on Facebook. So it's clear that the love for Linkin Park is still there & will be there for a very long time.
