July 4th weekend is usually filled with cookouts, family and friend gatherings, and plenty of ice cold refreshments. It is also a great time to sit back and watch baseball. The El Paso Chihuahuas have already established their brand, but many fans wait for the team to issue their limited release caps and jerseys that the team will wear on the field. Yesterday, their Stars and Stripes caps and t-shirts went on sale at the Team Shop inside Southwest University Park. The fitted red cap featuring the Chihuahua dog face is $34.99.

The t-shirts feature an outline of the continental United States with "America" across the center. The Chihuahuas head logo is placed over the E and R in America which also features the stars and stripes. The Nike shirts are available in red for men and blue for women and priced at 29.99.

According the Chihuahuas' Team Shop, the response was incredible and the majority of the stars and stripes inventory was sold yesterday to ticket holders. Chihuahuas employees and other fans that were not at last night's game lined up to purchase the remaining inventory and approximately 40 people were in line when the store opened at 10am this morning. Currently, just small and medium sized shirts remain for the women, while all sizes in limited quantities are available for the men. The store will be open until 4:30pm this afternoon before they reopen for tonight's game.
