It was a solid week for Dak Prescott. Here's the stat line:

  • 29 completions on 46 attempts
  • 444 yards
  • 3 touchdowns
  • 82.1 QBR
  • 116.6 passer rating

He was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week. This is the second time in his career, and second time this season Dak has won the award. He was also named NFC Offensive Player of the Week in Week 1.

It's going to be a big challenge for Prescott though this weekend as he faces a New England Patriots defense that is shutting down quarterbacks not named Lamar Jackson this year. Here are the Patriots defensive stats this year. (NFL rank in parentheses)

  • Points allowed - 10.8 (1st)
  • Total defense - 249.9 (1st)
  • Rush defense - 97.3 (10th)
  • Pass defense - 152.6 (2nd)
  • Third down - 19.3% (1st)
  • Red Zone - 46.2% (3rd)

So yeah, Dak and dem 'Boys are going to have a tough task ahead of them against the Pats this weekend. It also doesn't help that the game is in Foxboro. But, an area the Cowboys can exploit is the Pats offensive line. Injuries have diminished the Pats O line this year, and they've struggled to give Brady enough time to get the ball out to where he wants.
