Could Eagles-Giants play in NFL’s first Black Friday game?
The NFL Schedule is set to come out the second week of May, our friend Sal Paolantonio tells us the day will be Thursday, May 11.
This season the league will have a Black Friday game, which will be shown exclusively on Amazon Prime, the day after Thanksgiving. It will be the first time the league will have a game scheduled the day after Thanksgiving.
So who will the league schedule in that game? Peter King from NBC Sports wrote in today's MMQB column about how the game is being looked at as a "very big deal for Amazon on the biggest shopping day of the year."
While nothing is official, and this is purely an educated guess from King, he thinks the Eagles could be playing in that game.
I think the leader in the clubhouse for that game is Eagles-Giants. Absolutely not set in stone, though.
It would make a ton of sense, the Eagles are a big draw, as are the Giants in the biggest media market in the county. The NFC East rivals routinely meet in prime time on Sunday or Monday Night Football.
So when the schedule comes out in two weeks, be on the lookout for the Eagles playing on Black Friday/ While there is no word on what time that game would be, make sure to do your shopping either before or after the game.
