Coach K’s Legendary Career Ended Saturday Night Vs UNC
Duke vs North Carolina was a game for the ages. It felt like a heavyweight fight as both teams kept getting punched and then followed that up with a counter punch. Both teams were hitting big shots down the stretch as there were 18 lead changes and 12 ties. In the end, UNC came out on top 81-77 as Sophomore guard Caleb Love hit a huge three point shot to put the Tar Heels up four with under 30 seconds left. He also knocked a couple of clutch free throws to officially seal it for them. UNC will play Kansas tonight at 9:20 on TBS for the national championship.
There were so many storylines for this game. It was the first ever meeting between the two prestigious schools in the NCAA Tournament. It also ended up being Coach K's final game of his legendary career. It was very strange seeing him walk off of the court for the final time. He is an absolute legend in not only the game of basketball, but in general is an iconic sports figure. He had an incredible career.
MJ and I had ESPN College Basketball Analyst Dalen Cuff on with us this morning to preview the national championship game between Kansas and North Carolina. We also got his reaction on the UNC Duke game from Saturday night. Below is our full conversation with him.
I've picked against MJ's Tar Heels every game this tournament and I will also be doing that tonight. I like Kansas as they play fast and aggressive. I also don't trust Bacot's ankle injury. I can't wait for this game tonight and I know MJ can't wait either.
