Beginning tomorrow, Sunday, March 22, the El Paso Streetcar will no longer be running. The City of El Paso announced that they will be suspend the streetcar operations in response to COVID-19. The suspension of the streetcar will remain in effect until further notice.

City officials also announced that they will be being offering free rises on Sun Metro beginning tomorrow, Sunday, March 22. That means you can ride all fixed Route, BRIO and LIFT services free rides until further notice.

If you ride Sun Metro you will also have to observe these new rules to follow social distancing:

1. All passengers will board and exit buses through the rear doors. Exceptions will be made for riders who have accessibility needs or who need to use drop-down ramps at the front doors of buses.
2. All passengers are encouraged to leave two empty seats between themselves and others.
3. Beginning Monday, March 30, Fixed Route, Brio and the LIFT will run on a Saturday schedule Monday through Saturday. Sunday routes will continue to operate on a Sunday schedule.
