The worldwide coronavirus outbreak is crippling the sports world and the entertainment industry. Every major sporting event has been cancelled and sports seasons are either being cancelled outright or being suspended. The entertainment world is also suffering. Most tv shows with live audiences are going to audience-free tapings, movie productions are being suspended, and movie premieres for long-awaited films are being postponed including the final appearance as James Bond by Daniel Craig. Even Broadway has shut down for the foreseeable future with theaters going dark and actors being put out of work.

The latest cancellation is the Cirque du Soleil OVO tour. Cirque du Soleil officials released a statement Friday morning saying that due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the World Health Organization and Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s recommendation of social distancing, their tour is suspended. The remaining El Paso shows for this weekend at the Don Haskins Center have been cancelled.

According to their website, you will be able to get your tickets refunded at the original point of purchase. If you bought upir tickets through Ticketmaster you will be issued an automatic refund onto the credit card you used to buy your tickets.
