"The Sandlot" is celebrating its 25th anniversary since the 1993 movie release and the El Paso Chihuahuas are getting in on the fun. The team announced today that it will issue a special jersey on Saturday, June 2nd to be auctioned off that night benefiting the Boys and Girls Club of El Paso. In addition, Tom Guiry, who played Scotty Smalls in the movie, will be in town to throw out the first pitch and sign autographs during the game against the Sacramento Rivercats.

The Chihuahuas also announced that they will give away an erector set to the best dressed fan from "The Sandlot." Everyone is encouraged to wear their favorite t-shirt, jeans and PF Flyers to the game. The postgame fireworks show, sponsored in-part by KISS-FM will be to the soundtrack from "The Sandlot."

Gates open at 6 p.m. and first pitch is slated for 7:05 p.m. at Southwest University Park. Tickets are available at the Durango and Santa Fe Box Offices, online at epchihuahuas.com or by calling (915) 533-BASE.
