Liga MX President Enrique Bonilla announced in press conference today that Bravos de FC Juarez will join Liga MX, Mexico's premier soccer division, as the result of the purchase of Lobos BUAP (formally of the Liga MX) by Alejandra de la Vega-Foster, MountainStar Sports Group and other families from Ciudad Juarez that make up the Bravos ownership.

The press conference was held at hotel where the Liga MX league [preseason meetings are taking place in Cancun, Quintana Roo. Alejandra de la Vega, Paul Foster and other members of the FC Juarez front office including Vice President of FC Juarez Alvarado Navarro have been in Cancun since Sunday evening. Since then the acquisition of Lobos by FC Juarez was pretty a much a secret that everyone knew and it was only a matter of time since it came into fruition.

It is now official.

The team from the Borderland will be joining Liga MX effective immediately for the upcoming 2019 Apertura Season that will kickoff the weekend of July 19-21st. Because of this there is no doubt that it will be very tumultuous month for the Bravos front office from decisions as to who stays from the current roster and additional players that they will try to acquire to the execution of the sale of season tickets.
