Bar in San Antonio to Host ‘Sucia’ Contest During Fiesta Week

Let me start out by saying this has San Antonio written all over it!  A San Antonio bar is getting into the Fiesta spirit by hosting a Sucia pageant where some lucky lady will walk away with the title of 'Madam Sucia.'

According to mysanantonio.com, Thirsty’s SA, located on the city’s Southside at 8902 S. Presa St., San Antonio, TX 78223, has announced plans for La Sucia Pageant on April 21. With a desire for “San Antonio to let loose,” which shouldn’t be difficult given that the event happens to be the second day of Fiesta, the pageant welcomes all to show off their inner sucia.

Those in attendance will decide who deserves the title of Madam Sucia, who will be crowned at midnight. The winner will receive a $150 bar tab at Thirsty’s SA and will get to take home a prize of “the ultimate La Sucia” basket. Of course, when see you see an announcement like this on social media, you have to go straight to the comments. That is exactly what I did and they did not disappoint.

Also happening in San Antonio next month is the Tejano Conjunto Festival at Rosedale Park! The Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center presents its 41st Annual Tejano Conjunto Festival at the Guadalupe Theater at the Legendary Rosedale Park. The TCF will run from May 19th to 21st, 2023. As always, the highlight of the 41st Annual Tejano Conjunto Festival is the opportunity to hear the very best in conjunto music from all across the many different styles played regionally in Texas and worldwide.  Check out the entertainment lineup and times for the Tejano/Conjunto festival below:
