On Monday, Bravos de FC Juarez announced that Alejandra De La Vega-Foster would be stepping down as team president.  A couple of weeks ago, she was appointed to the Chihuahua State Cabinet, an appointment that will be consuming a grand majority of her time and efforts and because of that she will no longer be team president.

As a result Juan Carlos Talavera was named new team president.  Mr. Talavera is a successful businessman in Juarez who comes from a prominent family.  His family was one of the 6 families that were behind the creation of FC Juarez.

De La Vega-Foster stated that this was not a goodbye, she is not going to distance herself too far from the team and will still be involved with Bravos as a consultant and continue as one of the team owners.

In the year and half that Bravos has existed De La Vega-Foster has become very popular with Bravos supports.  She interacts with fans before and after every match and is just a popular as the players when it comes to fans asking for an autograph or a picture.

The change comes at in the home stretch of a season where it can be said the Bravos have fell short of expectations.  They after 13 games the team from the Borderland finds itself in 8th place with 4 matches to go in the 2016 Apertura season.

The top eight teams advance to the playoffs.

Bravos tied their most recent match this past Friday night against Correcaminos 0-0, giving Bravos 19 points on the season.
