Dallas Cowboys' starting inside linebacker Sean Lee was quite a hit at the 16th annual Sports and Health Expo at the Sunland Park Racetrack and Casino.  Lee signed autographs for quite a few eager fans who were thrilled to meet the Cowboys' rising star.

When Lee was done signing autographs he came over to where we were broadcasting from and sat with us for about 30 minutes.  Lee was escorted by several security guards and a large crowd of fans followed him to where we were broadcasting from.  Once Sean sat down I could instantly tell that he was a down to Earth guy.

It was truly a humbling experience interviewing such a nice guy!  During our break both Andy and I were able to talk to Lee.  He was more than happy to take a picture with me.  He mentioned that he grew up a Steelers fan, being that he is from Upper St. Clair, Pennsylvania.  Sean told me that his family loves the Steelers too but they are really happy that he plays for the Cowboys.  I love hearing personal stories from the athletes that I interview, it reminds me that they are people too.

It was also really nice to see how many people gathered around Andy and I as we interviewed Lee.  People were taking pictures and videos.  Their interest was quite evident, and they knew that a rising NFL superstar was in their presence.

Sean Lee's numbers speak for themselves, he is only the second linebacker to intercept both Payton Manning and Tom Brady.  In 2010, which was his rookie season, Lee was named the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the week because of his performance against Peyton Manning and the Colts in a late season game.

Lee was promoted to starting inside linebacker last season, and played exceptionally well through the first 7 games before dislocating his wrist against the Eagles.  He was the defensive player of the month last September, and when he became injured, he led the team with 51 tackles.

Cowboys fans have a lot to look forward to with Sean Lee at inside linebacker.  He has had plenty of time to rehab his wrist injury, and should return next season ready to put up stellar numbers.  Fans were fortunate to meet such a great gentleman yesterday, despite being an NFL player, Lee is just like you and I, with exceptional talent!  Professional athletes should remember the fans, after all they are the ones who fill the seats, watch them on tv, and support them as well.
