Earlier last week, I wrote about the price of tickets to watch a UTEP men's basketball game. Specifically, how the university was making it difficult for families to attend Miner home games if they did not take advantage of season ticket packages. Now, the UTEP Athletic Department made sure that every family in town who wants to spend two hours on Super Bowl Sunday at the Don Haskins Center will be able to do so.

The Marshall Game Family 4-Pack is priced at $30. In addition, UTEP extended the savings to the Navy, Green, and Copper sections.

The easiest way to access the ticket special for Sunday's game is to go online to UTEP's official site and enter the code "SUPER". That will unlock all groups of four in the designated sections for the special $30 discounted rate. For further questions, Miner fans can call the ticket office at (915) 747-8837.

The family four pack special is a good start by UTEP to help get more fans into the arena to watch the Miners play. After Sunday, there are just three home games left in the regular season. However, two of them are against C-USA powers UAB (Sat. 2/26) and North Texas (Sat. 3/5). If you are wondering what genius scheduled a college basketball game 3 1/2 hours before the kickoff of the Super Bowl, that decision was solely made by the conference scheduling office and not the schools playing the game.
