It's going to be a busier than usual Sunday with numerous St. Patrick's Day events going on that may be impacted by the roadwork going on in west El Paso.

If you have plans to celebrate the luck of the Irish that requires passage through the Go 10 Project work area, here's what you need to know.

A 27-hour closure of a portion of I-10 West at N. Mesa is scheduled to begin at 3 a.m. Sunday, March 17 until 6 a.m. Monday, March 18. TxDot crews have to move a barrier and close the North Mesa entrance ramp which necessitates the day-long closure of I-10 West at the North Mesa Street exit ramp.

Per TxDot:

• Motorists on I-10 Westbound will be detoured at North Mesa Street, follow the exit ramp through the signalized intersection and onto North Desert Boulevard, then follow North Desert Boulevard to the Redd Road. Motorists may use the Redd Road entrance ramp to I-10 Westbound.

• The North Mesa entrance ramp to I-10 Westbound will close and remained closed until further notice. Until then, motorists may use the Redd Road entrance ramp to I-10 Westbound. Access to the Redd Road entrance ramp will be available via North Desert Boulevard.
