2016-17 UTEP Miners Basketball Schedule Released

We now know who the UTEP Miners Men's basketball team will be playing in the 2016-17 season as the schedule has been released. The Miners will start off the season with a couple of exhibition games and their first regular season game will be on Nov. 12 against Louisiana College. The Miners will participate in an ESPN in-season event for the fifth time in six years when they take part in the Gildan Charleston Classic Nov. 17-20 in Charleston, S.C. Joining UTEP in the field will be Boise State, College of Charleston, Mississippi State, UCF, Villanova, Wake Forest and Western Michigan. The tournament bracket will be announced later this summer.

The Miners play will also play against New Mexico and continue the Battle of I-10 with New Mexico State. UTEP starts C-USA play on January 1st against UTSA.
