NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Ohio State coach Urban Meyer says he expects former starting quarterback Braxton Miller to return to the Buckeyes next season.

Meyer says he's addressed the matter with Miller, who has missed this season because of a shoulder injury in August. Miller has graduated, making him eligible to transfer and play at a new school immediately.

Miller's place at Ohio State is in question because of the emergence of J.T. Barrett, who started most of this season, and Cardale Jones, who's performed well since Barrett broke his ankle in the regular season finale.

Jones led Ohio State to a 59-0 Big Ten title game win over Wisconsin and will start against Alabama in Thursday night's Sugar Bowl, which doubles this season as a national semifinal.
