In light of the rapidly rising cases of coronavirus in the area, YISD officials have made the decision to not allow fans at sporting events effective immediately.

As the high school football season gets ready to kick off this week, several school districts revealed their plans for limited fan capacity at football games and other sports for the fall.

El Paso Independent Schoool District canceled a handful of games on Tuesday against programs from Ysleta Independent School District as a result of a dispute against fan attendance at indoor gyms.

Some parents aren't happy about this arrangement, but remember, this was always going to be a difficult school year. Keep that in mind as we go forward.
