Matt Kemp answered Eric Young Jr.'s first inside-the-park homer with his 17th of the season and first with more than one runner on base, sparking the Dodgers' 6-4 victory over Colorado on Wednesday night and helping them avoid a three-game sweep by baseball's worst pitching staff.

Alex White threw 80 pitches in four innings Tuesday night, allowing one hit and five walks before he was lifted for a pinch-hitter. Josh Roenicke took over and threw three scoreless innings, while rookie Josh Rutledge drove in all of Colorado's runs in a 3-1 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

There was only one thing Colorado Rockies manager Jim Tracy could do when he realized the umpires would not change their minds. He went Hollywood. Tracy put on a show after he was ejected for disputing a reversed call in the seventh inning of the Rockies' 2-0 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday night.

Hanley Ramirez lined an RBI single over a drawn-in infield in the ninth inning, and the Dodgers completed a three-game sweep of the Chicago Cubs with a seesaw 7-6 victory on Sunday. Los Angeles remains a half-game behind NL West-leading San Francisco and 3½ ahead of third-place Arizona.

The Rockies edged out the Dodgers on Sunday with pitcher Alex White's best game of the season, to end the game 3-2.
