UTEP got off to a fast start in the Battle of I-10 and never looked back, downing NM State 30-3 to snap a three-game losing streak in the rivalry game on Saturday night in front of 19,034 fans at Aggie Memorial Stadium.

NMSU football brings a team of mostly unknowns into their annual rivalry game with UTEP tomorrow night, since only two starters remain from their last meeting.

The latest college football casualty is New Mexico State, which announced early Thursday morning that the program will postpone the fall season to spring due to "COVID player health & safety concerns as well as 14-day quarantine requirement when traveling back into (New Mexico)."
