It's obvious and impossible to ignore. At his weekly press conference UTEP head football coach Mike Price says the Miners are having problems offensively and that he and his staff have to find a way to help the team find consistency there. UTEP will have its hands full against SMU this Saturday.

UTEP head coach Mike Price says he's "disappointed, frustrated, but not discouraged" after the Miners' 37-26 loss to Wisconsin in Madison, WI. The Miners are developing a reputation as a hard-hitting team going into Conference USA play.

On a picturesque evening, the UTEP Miners beat their oldest rival, 41-28 in front of 33,000 fans.  UTEP was desperate for the win because their last 2 losses against Ole Miss and Oklahoma were winnable games, and next week they travel to Wisconsin.

The UTEP Miners dominated with big plays on both offense and defense to win their first game of the season, 41-28, over New Mexico State in the Battle of I-10.

You could tell this loss stung Mike Price just by looking.

It's not too often the UTEP Miners traverse into SEC country, and when they do, the results have been less than inspiring. In 2010, the Miners fell to Arkansas 58-21.

It WILL be a big game. The Sun Bowl WILL have a better atmosphere for fun and tailgating. The Miners ARE healthy. But as the Miners kick off against the Sooners this Saturday night in the Sun Bowl,  there was one word you didn't hear from UTEP head coach Mike Price -- "win".

This past Saturday on Crunchtime, UTEP Head Coach Mike Price was on the show to talk about the upcoming football season. During the interview coach Price talks about the difficult schedule the Miners have, the improvements the team has made, facing Oklahoma at the Sun Bowl and his future with the school.

The UTEP Miners have begun their sojourn to Camp Socorro, most likely for the final time under Mike Price, who's contract to coach the Miners ends with the final whistle of 2012.
