From the street, it looks like something right out of a horror movie.

Marshall took control of a first half lead and never looked back, outlasting the Miners 86-78, despite a spirited comeback by UTEP in the final minutes. UTEP finishes its season 17-15, 8-11 C-USA.

After a four-game win streak, including wins against all the bottom teams in the conference, UTEP will put their streak against a tough Marshall group on Wednesday night for the first round of the Conference USA tournament in Frisco, Texas.

The UTEP women's basketball team battled back from a 10-point deficit and defeated Marshall 64-56 in double overtime in the first round of the C-USA Tournament.

Four of the final six games for the Miners will take place away from El Paso, and it starts tonight with the first game against Marshall (12-9, 5-3 C-USA), who are undergoing a three-game losing streak.

The UTEP Women's basketball team played one of their most well rounded games of the season on Saturday afternoon as they stormed past Marshall 84-74.  All five of the Miners' starters scored double digit points in the convincing victory to conclude this brief home stand...

UTEP rebounded from a loss to Charlotte to begin conference play with a 66-56 win over Marshall on Saturday night.

"UCF guard A.J. Rompza went on a Twitter rampage, dissing the hotel in Huntington, and his teammates followed suit...And, yes, they played the hillbilly card."

Sometimes we forget that sports are only for entertainment purposes.  It seems that there are times when people place more of an emphasis on their favorite teams then what really matters in life.  What should matter the most are people's lives.
