I’ll Have Another will not run at the 144th Belmont Stakes on Saturday. The horse, who was vying to become the first Triple Crown winner since Affirmed in 1978, was ruled out by his trainer Doug O'Neill, who spoke about the matter on 'The Dan Patrick Show' on radio Friday morning.
One of the most difficult accomplishments is sports is to win the triple crown. It has only been done 11 times in horse racing history. It is so rare that it has been 34 years since Affirmed accomplished the historic feat in 1978.
What a fantastic sports weekend!! Thank you for taking a time out and welcome back, 'On The Sidelines'!
Show topics tonight include: "I'll Have Another" does it again, NBA Playoffs, Orlando Magic clean house, PGA Tour, NASCAR and yes...
I’ll Have Another won the 137th running of the Preakness Stakes at Pimilico Race Track in Baltimore on Saturday to become the first horse since 2008 to win the first two legs of the Triple Crown.
