When you think of "north" and "south" in terms of the Civil War, you probably think of "north" as being above "south" and "south" as being east of Texas.
I fondly remember always driving past the Dairy whenever I was heading to my grandma’s house in El Paso’s Lower Valley and as an adult it was a building I always saw when I was heading to classes at El Paso Community College’s Valley Verde campus.
The hotel was built in 1956, in the quirky "space age" style, (aka googie style), popular then thanks to the Cold War and a growing interest in outer space.
