Under head coach Cory Herman, the Rhinos wrapped up their sixth trip to the Thorne Cup Finals in the last seven seasons. They swept the Phoenix Knights and Boulder Bison to return to the Thorne Cup and compete for the coveted Western States Hockey League title.

Things have been good to the El Paso Rhinos this season. The team is well-rested after an off week. This weekend, the always tough Boulder Bison are in El Paso to play the Rhinos. The two teams met earlier in the season, with the Bison winning two out of the three games.

Despite their 26-6 overall record and 11-point lead for first place in the Mountain Conference, El Paso Rhinos head coach Cory Herman is not satisfied. After winning two out of three games in Dallas, the Rhinos hope to continue their success this weekend when they host the second place Cheyenne Stampede for a key series at the Sierra Providence Events Center.

The El Paso Rhinos hockey team and 600 ESPN El Paso announced that a total of 11 home and road games will be broadcast on radio during the remainder of the regular season.
