The dawn of the varsity boys basketball season is in effect, as playoffs approach the horizon for several clubs across the city of El Paso. But in both districts, a little bit of mayhem has ensued, which has made the final playoff spots up for grabs in both districts.

The 2018 McDonald's Classic Basketball Tournament will take place from December 6th though the 8th at Del Valle high school.

Canutillo's undefeated season continued on Friday night at Lowenberg Stadium as they knocked off Burges 33-26 to win the Bi-District championship.  The Eagles, who have the top defense in the city, as they only allowed 184 points all season long, were tested in the first half of the game by Burges...

The Bowie Bears dominated the majority of their game against Burges with an effective ground game and a impressive defensive performance.

The El Paso High Tigers improved to 4-1 with a hard fought defensive victory over Burges at Jones Stadium for homecoming.

The Burges Mustangs headed into their final game of the 2012 season on a 5 game winning streak.  Bowie knew they had their hands full for two primary reasons.

It was a big matchup in District to kick off the District 1-4A season and Time Warner Cable Sports was there for the Chapin-Burges game Friday night. TWC Sports will re-broadcast the game on Channel 24 Wednesday or Thursday next week at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m.

After eleven weeks the high school football season is over and we can look ahead to the playoffs. All our 5-A schools are out of town while we will have four 4-A games here on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
