I may be a little bias, but without question Chicago is one of the greatest cities in the world.  When I was 10 I lived in the Windy City for 2 years.   Fortunately for me the majority of my family still resides in Chicago.

Currently I come back to my 2nd home twice a year to visit my family and friends.  I have always said that if you are going to visit one city every year, it might as well be Chicago.  So why is it such a wonderful city?  First of all, if you have never been to Chicago then you don't know what your missing.

The food is amazing!  From their world renown deep dish pizza, to their Italian beef sandwiches and hot dogs, there are no shortage of exceptional restaurants in Chicago.  From Greek, Polish, Chinese, Italian, just to name a few, Chicago has food from various regions of the world representing the melting pot that it is.

Some of the best museums in the world are in Chicago.  The Field Museum has the most complete Tyrannosaurus Rex ever discovered called Sue.  The Art Institute is one of the best museums for Impressionism art, and then there is the Shed Aquarium which is located on the banks of Lake Michigan.  The Adler Planetarium and the Science and Industry museum are exceptional places to visit as well.

If you love sports, Chicago is the place to be.  There is never a time when one of their professional or collegiate teams are not playing a game.  Chicagoans are so passionate about their teams.  If you love baseball then no trip to Chicago is complete without a visit to historic Wrigley Field.  While you visit Wrigley Field it is a great idea to look around the neighborhood that the 97 year old park is in.  After all, Wrigleyville is one of the best neighborhoods in Chicago.

Only two cities in the country can say that they have a couple of MLB teams.  If you feel like traveling to the south side of Chicago, you can go to US Cellular Field and check out a White Sox game.  I think it is great when the Cubs play a day game at Wrigley and the Sox play a night game at US Cellular field in the same day!

How could I forget about the Bears, Blackhawks, and Bulls?  If you can ever attend a Bears game, I highly recommend the annual game against the Packers, it is truly a unique football experience.  Chicago is a great hockey town too.  The Blackhawks are quite an attraction, they won the Stanley Cup in 2010, and are contending for it again this season. It is quite a treat to watch Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls play, Rose is an amazing talent.

From Old Town to Lincoln Park, the gold coast, and Michigan Avenue, Chicago is one spectacular city.  The architecture in Chicago is remarkable, and the people are rather friendly displaying their Midwestern hospitality.  Overall, it is a true gem and without question a place that everyone should visit, I guarantee you won't be disappointed.
